EV crossover caught in near-production guise in California with reveal imminent.
A Tesla Model X prototype looking practically production ready has been spied on the roads around Palo Alto, California, and with first deliveries of the all-electric crossover to begin later this year, it’s a safe bet that Tesla’s third model will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show next week. This is the first time we’ve seen the long-awaited falcon wing-doored SUV cruising on the street wearing such little camo, and thanks to the video we now have a much better idea of what the new car will look like.
The Model X will borrow the Model S’ drivetrain and will offer similar performance and driving characteristics. Although it will be slighter heavier and all variants will get the dual-motor all-wheel drive system.
