We all know the Lamborghini Gallardo is wicked fast. It is a Lamborghini after all. We also know that there plenty of highly modified Gallardos out there that make even the stock versions look, well, a bit slow. One such example is this LP570-4 that's got 2,005 horsepower, and it just set a new record. Then it caught on fire. That happened because it did the mile sprint in just 23.892 seconds at 250 mph. And just before it crossed the finished line it started flaming out the back.

The Lambo didn't totally explode, but that sheer speed and power certainly took its toll on the supercar.
