In 2018, at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, the Ford booth featured five bold, imaginative custom Mustang show cars, but even in the presence of such company, this Lamborghini-purple Mustang EcoBoost was a standout. Now, it's up for grabs on eBay, for the not-unreasonable price of $45,999.

Granted, when we say "Lamborghini-purple," we really mean BASF Majestic Purple - a custom-mixed hue inspired by the purple worn by some Lamborghinis. That's perhaps the most standout feature on this "Tjin Edition" 2019 Ford Mustang EcoBoost, but far from its only distinguishing feature.

The next thing to command your attention, after the paint, is the five-spoke bronze-colored wheels. They may look a bit "JDM," but they're actually bespoke center-lock wheels from Forgeline out of Ohio. After that, it's hard not to notice the custom widebody kit, which was supplied by professional Formula Drift driver Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s outfit RTR Vehicles, and the slammed ride height, courtesy of an Air Lift suspension setup.

There's plenty new beneath the skin, too, like massive Baer front and rear brakes, a Full Race intercooler and manifold, a BorgWarner turbo, and an exhaust from the Ford Performance parts catalog. All that performance equipment is tied together by a custom tune.

It's not uncommon that we come across a custom SEMA show car for sale a couple of years after its debut, usually for far less than the sum of its parts, but not all of them are as good a deal as this Mustang EcoBoost. Sure, we might prefer a Coyote under the hood, but the car only has 3,500 miles on the odometer, according to the seller, and anything with Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s signature on the dash is cool in our book.

The fact you can dig up old web articles and say "that's my car" - that's just the icing on the cake.
