Ten years after it debuted, the Lexus LFA is still a special supercar. Entering such a world to take on established players like Ferrari and Lamborghini was a bold move for Lexus, a company synonymous with luxury cars like the LS sedan. But the LFA is now one of the most sought-after supercars. And one that's crying out for a successor.

Production was limited to just 500 examples spread over two years. Despite its rarity, there are still dealers selling new examples nearly ten years after it ended production. When it was new, the Lexus LFA cost $375,000, but its value has soared since then.

Earlier this year, we found a used LFA with an unusual Pearl Brown color being sold for a whopping $680,000, nearly twice the original sticker price. Now, another example is looking for a new owner in the UK. Listed for sale by The Octane Collection, this LFA only has only clocked 3,965 miles, so it's barely been driven since it was registered in 2012. Let's hope whoever snaps it up gives it a more regular workout. It's finished in black with a matching black interior and appears to be in immaculate condition.

One of only 238 left-hand drive LFAs that rolled off the production line, this beautiful black LFA was delivered to its first owner in Switzerland in 2012 before being imported to the UK in 2015 by its current owner.

Ask anyone what makes the Lexus LFA so special, and they will agree it's the sweet-sounding 4.8-liter V10 that screams all the way to 9,000 rpm. With 552 horsepower on tap, the LFA will sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 203 mph; figures that weren't just impressive for Lexus, but for the industry 10 years ago.

The Octane Collection is selling this pristine Lexus LFA for £549,995 ($763,007). Spending that much money on a Lexus may seem ludicrous, but whoever buys it will be the owner of one of the best-sounding supercars ever made. With demand for the LFA likely to increase after its tenth anniversary this year, this could be a very wise investment.
