While modern interiors are all about Alcantara headliners, Nappa leather steering wheels and carbon-fiber trim, there's something special about vintage-style cabins. And that's something interior specialist Carlex Design has recreated with this 1990 Mercedes G-Class. The unique retro look was put together using a range of different leathers that covers almost every single inch of the interior space. Even the air vents have been trimmed in cowhide.

All signs of plastic have been eliminated, while skilled craftspeople have overstitched the leather immaculately and created bespoke accessories like leather pouches. As a finishing touch, the headliner was made from a brown velvet-like Nubuck.
