Lamborghini has been rather busy in the last year, lifting the wraps off the Huracan STO and shortly after revealing the one-off Lamborghini SC20. Back in 2020 we also got to peek at some spy snaps of what could be the new Aventador Hybrid, but Lamborghini has kept all Aventador-related news under lock and key. Now in a new video, we get to see a highly camouflaged Lamborghini that has the internet buzzing. Could this be the next-generation Aventador SJ? According to Varryx, this mystery model is expected to be revealed to Lambo fans in the coming weeks and will have a hybrid V12 heart.

The car shown in the video looks similar to the Aventador S, but when it makes its way onto the road, it is easy to spot the SVJ-looking rear-end, but without the SVJ wing. The car pictured is believed to be a testing mule of the upcoming Aventador S Jota (or SJ for short) that will arrive as the final version of the much-loved Aventador range, the first version of which was produced way back in 2011 (LP700-4). The Aventador range went on to feature models such as the Aventador SuperVeloce LP750-4 and SVJ 63 Roadster.

This hybrid SJ should be the last model before the introduction of a new hybrid supercar. This upcoming hybrid Aventador is believed to have a slight power increase of 10 horsepower over the current SVJ which is powered by a glorious 6.5-liter V12, for a total of 780 hp. Early rumors say that only 700 cars will be made at first. The switch over to electric and hybrid power is inevitable, but all we wish for is that the glorious Lamborghini V12 lives on for a couple more years.
