General Motors likes to share the work of its talented designers on its General Motors Design Instagram page. The account has posted everything from sleek coupes to rugged trucks, and it most recently published some sweet sketches from designer Ben Wilkins. "Mean and green, designer Ben Wilkins gives us two views with a fresh take on the face of our Chevy Trucks?," reads the Instagram post.

The sketches are clearly supposed to be a Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and we absolutely love Wilkins' take on it. The front end looks like an evolution of the modern day Silverado with the off-road Z71 package, while that silver roof line appears to be cherry picked from the well-loved K5 Blazer.

It's a great combination of modern design with a little retro flare, made better with a bold shade of green digital paint. This latest sketch is much different than the one penned by Kyle Shin last year (included below), which previews a far more futuristic-looking truck.

The art published on the GM Design page may never see the light of day, but it's cool to see what the company's designers are working on. Even if these aren't the final designs for the next-generation Silverado, we may see some elements make their way to a production model.

GM is very likely working on its next-generation of full-size trucks, which should make their debut in 2025. Before then, Chevy is already testing the Silverado EV in preparation for its on-sale date in Fall 2023.

The Silverado EV will arrive with two trim levels, including a Work Truck (WT) variant that should be priced under $40,000. A top-of-the-line RST First Edition will produce 754 horsepower with a 400-mile range.

GMC will get its own version called the Sierra EV, which will arrive first with a luxurious Denali Edition 1 trim.
