It was a very sad day when the Dodge Viper was discontinued back in 2017. It will always be fondly remembered as one of the most iconic American sports cars of all time, thanks to its aggressive design and potent 8.0-liter V10 engine. After its demise, the Viper seems destined to be a future collector's car.

Original examples in mint condition are getting increasingly harder to track down, but if you want to own a piece of automotive history, this 1992 Dodge Viper RT-10 listed for sale on eBay is virtually brand new. It only has 34 miles on the clock and is in exceptional condition for its age.

According to the seller, this cherished Viper has been stored in a climate-controlled garage and "started on a regular basis" for the last 27 years. It even has its original tires with no flat-spots or cracks, as well as its original MSRP sticker still on the window.

The gas tank has also been drained, all fluids have been changed, and all air filters have been replaced to hopefully prevent any potential mechanical issues. If you fancy owning an original Viper, the seller is asking for $99,885 to drive this one away.

Under the hood is a massive 8.0-liter V10 engine that sends 400 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. When it was new, 0-62 mph would take 4.4 seconds. That may not sound very impressive today, but this was supercar-rivaling performance at the time.

Is the asking price too steep for a 27-year old Dodge Viper? Perhaps, but opportunities to own a first-generation model as immaculate as this don't happen very often.
