An owner from Dubai with tons of money and great taste has just gone to great lengths to restore two early Bugatti Veyrons through the company's La Maison Pur Sang program. The cars in question, a 16.4 Coupe and a Grand Sport were meticulously gone over for the past 9 months in a complete top-to-bottom restoration that also saw the company add a few new touches.

The La Maison Pur Sang, or The Thoroughbred House in English, is the company's exceptional restoration program that started just a few years ago with the restoration of a 2008 Grand Sport and has now restored 10 different vehicles with the ongoing goal to keep as many of the company's sports cars on the road (or climate-controlled garage floor) as possible.

Both vehicles were sent to the company's Molsheim headquarters all the way from their home in Dubai. The owner worked closely with Bugatti Dubai, the largest Bugatti dealership in the world, and the corporate headquarters on ideation for the vehicles over a three-year period prior to shipping them off. Luigi Galli, Bugatti's Heritage and Certification Specialist, was the head of the project from start to finish.

Bugatti is obsessive in its desire to craft the perfect vehicle, and thus expects the same level of perfection out of a restoration of 15-year-old cars as well.

The Coupe was a 2006 model and experienced a complete makeover along with a mechanical overhaul. The car originally came in a two-tone gray with a Cognac interior, but the owner had different ideas in mind for its future. Now, the vehicle wears a traditional blue duotone of Black Blue M and Blue M paint with a new Havana interior.

The Grand Sport then underwent a more subtle change, but that may be due to the owner's fondness. The car was originally sold to them in 2009 and was one of the first grand Sports ever delivered. The outside of the car was kept the same as the day it rolled off the line, but the interior was changed from the silk color to Magnolia to add a new feel to the car.

The benefit of this intensive and extremely expensive restoration of Bugatti models is that once the process is over and all the checks are completed, the vehicle receives an official La Maison Pur Sang recertification that documents the work and (more importantly) helps to protect the value of the vehicle.

The owner is obviously very thrilled with how the vehicles turned out, saying that "I have cherished these two Bugatti models for many years, alongside the other hyper sports cars of Molsheim that are in our collection. In my opinion, a Veyron demands to be kept in the best condition possible - it's the only way to pay homage to such a groundbreaking Bugatti masterpiece."

He's also reportedly considering restoring more of his models, of which we imagine there must be some truly impressive ones. As the program at Bugatti continues for the foreseeable future, it will be exciting to see what models will undergo the process. It will even be exciting to see when the first owner decides to send the Chiron through the process. With the exceptionally high standards of Bugatti owners, we imagine it's not too far in the future.
