This ultra-rare open-top sports car looks like a shark out of water and that's because it is. Based on the Lotus Elise, the 340R was a limited edition model from Lotus that was engineered to dominate any track day. Despite not getting any performance updates over the Elise, the 340R focused on lightness with a weight of roughly 1,500 lbs. With a run of only 340 units, this rare sports car wasn't sold in the US, but that hasn't stopped one owner from putting the vehicle on sale on eBay.

For only $75,000, you could own one of the lightest and rawest track day vehicles the world has ever seen. But there's a catch. Since this vehicle was never sold in the US and due to the country's import laws, this vehicle can't be registered or driven on actual roads. If, however, you're looking for a dedicated track toy and don't mind sitting on the wrong side of the vehicle, then look no further. It may only have 177 horsepower, but this 340R has a power-to-weight ratio that's extremely similar to that of a Ferrari 360 Modena. It may not be a supercar or even usable on the roads, but we really want this.
