Too bad you need to be a licensed racing driver to own one.
If the Lamborghini Huracan is too tame for you, there is a more hardcore alternative. No, we're not talking about the Performante this time. Lamborghini also produced the extreme Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo, but there are a couple of catches. Unlike the Performante, it's restricted to the racetrack. And you need to be a licensed GT3 driver to be granted the keys. If you happen to meet that criteria and have over $250,000 in spare change, a rare Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo racer up for sale at a London dealer is looking for a new driver.
Listed for sale by HR Owen at a London Lamborghini dealership, the Lambo's life on the track was short-lived. It was designed to compete in the 2016 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series, but owner commitments meant it only competed for half the season. That only makes it more enticing for a prospective owner, however, as this Super Trofeo only has 2,485 miles on the clock. Built in collaboration with race car constructors Dallara, the Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo has been tweaked to set blistering laps on the track. Compared to its 580-hp road-going counterpart, its naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine sends 620 hp to the rear wheels and produces 420 lb-ft of torque.
Dry weight has also been reduced from 1,509 kg to just 1,270 kg, resulting in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 2.05 kg per horsepower. A racing livery, massive rear wing and striking grey paintwork also set it apart from the road car. Should you be eligible to own this rare Lamborghini Huracan racer, HR Owen is offering it for sale for 200,000 GBP ($260,000).
