This Shelby AC Cobra 289 is What We Dream About

Sit back. Relax. And listen.

It’s amazing to see just how much Carroll Shelby’s little AC Cobras are worth today. Before he passed away, Shelby even admitted that he never imagined back in the 1960s that people would one day pay millions to have one in their collection. Greatness always increases in value over the years. And every now and then we come across an old AC Cobra that has quite a history. Today is one of those days. This 1963 AC Cobra 289 happened to be one of Shelby’s own cars.

It was also raced heavily across the US, scoring class wins at Laguna Seca and Hawaii. Some of its drivers included Phil Hill and Dan Gurney. And it’s still in beautiful condition. This video is proof. Listen to its V8 rumble. Look at its fine details inside and out. It’s all just too perfect.
