Just a few days after the new Continental GT Convertible Speed debuted, Bentley unveiled a new special-edition Continental GT dubbed the V8 Equinox Edition that will be sold exclusively in Japan. Limited to just ten examples and designed by Bentley's Mulliner personalization division, the Continental GT V8 Equinox Edition will only be available in six cities across the country: Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya, Hiroshima and Yokohama.

Based on an understated black, silver and white monochrome theme, each example can be finished in a Black Onyx or Glacier White exterior with a contrasting character line running along the side.

A Styling Specification that is usually optional also comes as standard, adding a front splitter, rear diffuser, trunk lid spoiler and side sills finished in high gloss black carbon fiber. Each carbon fiber piece also features a contrasting pinstripe accent that takes five days to paint by hand. Unique 22-inch wheels finished in Dark Metallic Tungsten paint round off the exterior enhancements.

Inside, the monochrome color theme continues in the cabin with silver accents applied to the headrest and seat edge panels. Silver contrast stitching also adorns the seats and the steering wheel, and dual finish veneers finished in Piano Moonbeam and Grand Black are applied to the dashboard.

Other unique touches include illuminated sill plates and silver accent stitching on the diamond quilted seats and Mulliner floor mats.

Under the hood, the Bentley Continental GT V8 Equinox Edition is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 542 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. The 0-60 sprint is achieved in 3.9 seconds before the Equinox Edition maxes out at 198 mph. Bentley hasn't announced pricing details for the Continental GT V8 Equinox Edition, but its exclusivity suggests it will be even more expensive than the standard model, which starts at $202,500 in the US.
