Custom built ground-up drag racing engines are insane. But it’s not often that we get to see just how face-shreddingly amazing these things really are in any kind of detail. So for all of you engine geeks out there, we bring you the Nelson Racing Engines 632cu-in twin-turbo V8. This beast produces 2,400 horsepower. And even providing solid evidence of this is difficult, as it has a tendency to break dynamometers, as you’ll see here.

The video is pretty long, and goes into quite a bit of detail, but if you just want to see it shearing bolts, it happens pretty early on.
