This Viper-Powered Pickup Truck Was The Original Hellcat

Before Hellcats, there was this beast.

The Dodge Viper may have been nuts (RIP), but it wasn’t the craziest car to come out of an American factory with a monstrous engine. That award belonged to the Dodge Ram SRT-10 that came with the Viper’s 8.3-liter V10 engine. The insane pickup truck also came with an aggressive body kit to differentiate it from mundane trucks and even had a manual transmission as an option. The SRT-10 was arguably the first high-performance truck and could get to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, which is sports car fast.

Matt Farah gets behind the wheel of the truck after a decade to see if it’s still one of the most ridiculous cars ever made. With the recent trend of downsizing engines, we think Ram SRT-10 is crazier than ever.
