This VW Golf Can Eviscerate A Bugatti Chiron In A Drag Race

Tuning

With 1,233 horsepower, this is the quickest Golf on the planet.

If you're the type of car enthusiast that revels in projects where modifications are worth way more than the cost of the car, then you're going to love this Mk2 Volkswagen Golf. The car is the creation of Boba Motoring, which specializes in turning old hatchbacks into drag racing monsters. The tuner's latest creation has 1,233 horsepower and can complete the quarter-mile in just 8.67 seconds at 174 miles per hour. With just a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the car only needs 2.53 seconds to hit 60 mph.

Watching this Golf accelerate is simply mesmerizing. The tach and speedometer can barely keep up with the insane speed. It takes a really skilled driver to be able to tame this beast.

Unfortunately, just watching the gauges doesn't give a great sense of how fast the car is. That is why Boba decided to overlay the Golf's acceleration video with clips of other fast cars like a BMW M5, a Lamborghini Aventador and even a Bugatti Chiron. Amazingly, the Golf keeps up with all of them.
