Lotus is a small-time automaker, especially in the United States, but the British brand is currently in the process of a renaissance. Lotus is about to begin production on the Evija, its first all-electric supercar with nearly 2,000 horsepower but before it arrives on the market, the 2020 Lotus Evora GT remains the only model you can currently purchase in the US.

The Evora GT replaces the Evora 400 and Evora 410 Sport as the fastest and most powerful roadgoing Lotus sold in the US and Canada. It will likely be a while before the Evora is replaced with an all-new model but Lotus is working on an interesting new version of the car that will help keep it relevant for a bit longer.

Lotus has announced a partnership with Savile Row outfitter and bespoke tailor, Norton & Sons, to create a new sports car that it says is "For The Drivers." The collaborative project will be formally revealed later this year and will incorporate the two brands' core values of light-weighting, performance-oriented contemporary design, and sporting durability. If we had to guess, we'd say it will likely be a special edition of some kind with special interior work from Norton & Sons.

A series of teaser images show an Evora 410 Sport, which is meant to be one of the more comfortable models in the lineup, parked in front of Norton & Sons. The interior shown features black suede and yellow stitching, which matches the yellow brake calipers on the exterior.

Norton & Sons was established back in 1821 and will celebrate its bicentennial next year in 2021. Over the years, the shop has clothed celebrities including actor Cary Grant and British royalty King Edward VII.
