Those Old Ferrari V12s Sure Could Scream

Formula 1

Perhaps Formula 1 does suffer from a shortage of cylinders.

When the decision was made for Formula 1 to make the change to V6 engines, one of the big complaints from fans and even from some drivers was that F1 would no longer sound like F1. The following video shows some of the old proper V12 F1s out on the track, and was sent to us by videographer Marchettino. The cars include the F1 F93, the 412 T2 and the 126CK, all howling with the beautiful sounds of an F1-spec V12.

The footage was shot at Spa-Francorchamps, home of the F1 Belgian Grand Prix, although this was obviously not an official F1 event.
