Three Legendary Porsche Models Have A Birthday Party

Don't worry, this was probably filmed before social distancing.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has made it difficult for anyone celebrating a birthday in the month of March. With social distancing measures in place, people aren't able to celebrate with their friends and family. It may be some time before the world goes back to normal but Porsche has just published a video that could brighten your spirits.

Before the world went on lockdown, Porsche began filming a joint birthday party for three of its iconic models. The company has just released a behind the scenes look at how the three cars were unloaded from a transport truck and positioned in a cool garage venue.

The three cars include the Porsche 718 RS 60 Spyder, 993-generation 911 Turbo, and the 918 Spyder. These cars are celebrating their 60th, 25th, and 10th anniversaries respectively. Porsche recently revived the '718' moniker on the 718 Boxster and Cayman, which harken back to the original car. The 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo was also recently revealed and the legendary 993-generation car has recently skyrocketed in value.

Finally, the 918 Spyder is the most recent of the bunch, offering world-beating performance when it arrived 10 years ago as a concept car. The 4.6-liter V8 produced 599 horsepower on its own with the electric motors bringing the total output to 875 hp. With many sports cars now shifting towards hybridization, it seems strange to think that the 918 concept is now more than a decade old.

All three cars are finished in silver paint, creating a uniform look for a photo and video shoot. Since this was just a behind the scenes look, we expect Porsche to release a longer video along with tons of photos taken from the birthday celebration. All three of these cars were taken from the Porsche Museum, which has sadly closed during the COVID-19 outbreak.
