SEMA 2011

Tjin Edition Readies 2012 Ford Explorer & Mustang GT 5.0 for SEMA

A sneak preview of a pair of customized Fords to be showcased at SEMA 2011.

Next month the much-anticipated SEMA Show in Las Vegas will be awash with finely tuned and one-off vehicles from a range of carmakers. As a sneak preview, Tjin Edition has leaked some snaps of two Ford models they are working on in collaboration with the Detroit automaker. We only have a glimpse of the 2012 Ford Explorer to share but we have been informed that it comes with a custom Dupont paint job, custom 24-inch iForged Concave wheels, a lowered Eichbach suspension and large Baer brakes.

Other upgrades include full black leather by LR Auto Body, a Thule bike rack, and a pair of Recaro child seats. In partnership with students of the Universal Technical Institute (UTI), Tjin Edition have developed a bespoke Mustang GT 5.0 complete with a special Dupont paint job, 20-inch Forgestar wheels, Baer big brakes, a custom interior and the piece de resistance: a Paxton Supercharger fitted on the 5.0-liter V8 engine. More details will of course be released once the SEMA Show opens, but we can reveal that the 2012 Tjin Edition Mustang is to be given away in a UTI sweepstake.
