There aren't many cars more popular with tuners than those that roll off the Affalterbach assembly line, as even though Mercedes-AMG models are typically born with aggressive body kits, aftermarket firms love to take that level of aggression to the extreme. While most see AMGs as the pinnacle of what Mercedes has to offer for each of its classes, there will always be those that want to take things further. And that's where the following tuning houses come in.

Vitt Performance's Squalo range adorns numerous Mercs, and when the widebody kit was applied to the R230 Mercedes SL55 AMG, elements were taken from the SL65 AMG Black Series. Made up of a new front bumper, front fender, side skirts, rear fender and bumper, Black Series-style hood and a new rear wing, the result is a very aggressive and muscular new look. All parts are finished in either CFRP or carbon fiber, while available extras include a new exhaust kit, brake system and interior parts.

After Mercedes rolled out the SLS AMG Black Series, MEC Design was one of the first tuners to offer an aftermarket package that attempted to replicate the new model. Based on a standard SLS, the Mercedes tuning specialist created its very own "Black Series" bodykit, complete with front and rear bumpers, a new side spoiler, a carbon-fiber front splitter and new diffuser. MEC Design also revamped the interior, while other upgrades included a boost in output from 563 to 631 horsepower, a lowered suspension and a fresh set of alloys.

Russian tuning house TopCar's aftermarket package for the ML63 AMG is dubbed the Inferno. A Black Series-inspired body kit made of carbon fiber and Kevlar consists of new front and rear bumpers, fender extensions, overlays on the front doors, sills, hood and rear spoiler, new exhaust tips and LED lights integrated into the front bumper. Engine modifications, courtesy of Evotech Motorsport, ups output to 640 hp and 723 lb-ft of torque, while every interior is created bespoke to customer's exact requirements.

LA-based Misha Designs teamed up with Couture Customs of Scottsdale, Arizona, to create this styling package for the CLS63 AMG. The body kit for the AMG-tuned four-door coupe includes front and rear bumpers, fenders, hood, side skirts, and trunk and roof spoilers. The paint work and custom installation was the handiwork of Couture Customs, which also left its mark on the interior, adding bespoke stitching and accents. The transformation was complete by fitting a set of 20-inch Forgiato F2.01 wheels, finished with white spokes and black rims.

Japanese tuner Office-K opted for Wald International's near-legendary Black Bison body kit when tricking out the G55 AMG, combining it with goodies from Mansory and Forgiato Wheels. Consisting of a front and rear bumper, headlight cover, rear door panel, fender extentions and carbon-fiber hood, it adds even more aggression to the already menacing high-performance G-Wagen. Completing the exterior transformation is a set of 24-inch Forgiato Enzo concave alloys, a Miracle Square six-tip exhaust and an HID and LED custom kit.
