Aston Martin has already revealed a centenary edition Vanquish it plans to unveil sometime during its 100th anniversary year, while Lamborghini is set to unveil yet another anniversary edition supercar next month in Geneva expected to be a 50th anniversary Aventador, following its 25 anniversary edition Countach and 40th anniversary edition Murcielago. While many gearheads are likely to have heard of these anniversary edition models, they may not be as familiar with the models highlighted here.

Marking AMG's 45th birthday last June, the SL65 AMG "45th Anniversary" was built in a limited run of 45 units with an exclusive design magno graphite paint job and carbon-fiber package. The cross strut in the front apron, exterior mirrors and spoiler lip are all genuine carbon-fiber, and the 621hp (739lb-ft) AMG 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine cover is made up of carbon-fiber and aluminum. The interior gets special two-tone leather upholstery in titanium pearl and ginger beige, featuring the AMG V12 layout with diamond pattern adorning the AMG sports seats, door center panels, roof lining and steering wheel. Topping it off is a numbered badge on the ashtray lid.

Italian tuner Romeo Ferraris celebrated its 52nd anniversary with a special edition Fiat 500C Abarth featuring a special two-tone paint job with silver and red chrome. Along with revised Abarth mechanicals, the ECU has undergone a complete remapping, coupled with a new exhaust system. The result is a power increase from 140 horsepower to 203. There are also Brembo brakes, a new mechanical limited slip differential and special alloys. The interior is customized with special Romeo Ferraris trim pieces and colors that match the exterior, while the convertible top is constructed from high quality black grain leather with special stitching.

Chevy's 45th Anniversary Edition Camaro package was available for the top level trim of the Camaro regardless of engine, including an asymmetric hood and trunk-lid stripes, new 20-inch rims, a spoiler and HID headlamps. For the interior, the package includes plenty of commemorative 45th Anniversary logos all over the seats, dashboard, instrument panel, steering wheel and sill plates. Red, white and blue contrast stitching is also found on the seats, steering wheel, shift boot, armrests and center console. Sadly, the package does not offer any performance modifications.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Datsun 240Z, the 2011 Nissan 370Z Coupe was rolled out with a limited run of 1,000 special 40th Anniversary Edition models. The special edition came with 40th Anniversary badges, high-luster smoke wheel finish and red brake calipers. The interior of the 2011 370Z featured 40th Anniversary embossed seatback and floor mat embroidery, red stitching, and a commemorative premium satin car cover. The engine on the 2011 Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition remained the same 3.7-liter DOHC V6 found in the regular 370Z models, coupled to an available 6-speed manual transmission.

BMW began making V12s back 1987 when it debuted a 7-Series sedan with a twelve-cylinder engine. So last year the carmaker celebrated reaching the quarter-century milestone with the 760Li V12 25 Years Anniversary Edition, featuring BMW's latest 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 producing 535 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. Exclusive touches included champagne leather and Alcantara headliner with black piping, floor mats, leather-wrapped pillars and wood trim, and special badges. Other features in the anniversary edition included a rear-seat entertainment system, 20-inch wheels and Shadowline exterior trim. Only 15 examples (oddly not 25) were offered in North America at $159,695 apiece.
