This Texas dealership is a class act.
Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people too often. It's just a sad fact of life. But sometimes, someone or a group of individuals step up to help make things better for whoever fell victim. Kindness is language the deaf can hear and the blind can see, said Mark Twain. Last week, a tornado in Texas flipped over and severely damaged a Chevy Silverado.
The video of that scary event happening quickly went viral. The most important thing is that the driver was not injured. The truck, as you could expect, was nearly totaled after flipping over multiple times with the driver still inside.
He still managed to drive away and flee the storm once the truck came back on all four wheels again. However, the windows were blown out and the side-view mirrors ripped away. The body suffered major dents. And this is where Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet of Fort Worth, Texas stepped in to help.
According to News 4 San Antonio, the dealer reached out to the owner and very kindly gifted him a brand new 2022 Silverado to replace his old red truck. It was an offer the owner couldn't refuse. The owner, Riley Leon, will be taking delivery this weekend of a 2022 Silverado 1500 LT All Star Edition in a gorgeous Cherry Red.
The dealer also confirmed on its Facebook page that the Chevy Cares program is donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. For some, that $50k may not sound like a whole lot but it can go a long way to help those who lost everything from last week's tornado. Before they can even begin to think about rebuilding their lost property, they require a place to live and food to eat. Every dollar counts.
As for Riley and his family, they'll very soon be able to enjoy a new truck which, hopefully, they'll have for years to come.
