Totaled 2021 Audi RS6 Avant Is Still Worth Over $100,000

Any takers?

Being first isn't always a good thing, a notion that the driver of the first-ever wrecked 2021 Audi RS6 Avant is likely to agree with. With a starting price of $110,000, the RS6 Avant is a really expensive toy, and this one in particular has been so kitted out that its retail value sits at $113,670 despite it having been totaled.

The sports wagon will go up for auction via Copart in Portland, Oregon, and any interested parties will have to be prepared to do some work to get it back on the road.

Damages to the vehicle are mostly cosmetic, Copart determined that the rear-end of the RS6 Avant sustained the most damage with the entire lower fascia missing and the internal electronics and suspension potentially destroyed, too. The front fenders and fascia have also been devastated and the intercooler has fallen out of place, but the engine, a 4.0-liter V8, and the seven-speed automatic transmission, remain intact.

Copart states that the sports wagon starts up, can be put into gear, and is capable of accelerating forward. It's not, however, guaranteed to continue working passably over time. With that said, however, this RS6 Avant has only 3,827 miles on the odometer.

The RS6 Avant is really expensive with base prices matching those of the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo, BMW Alpina XB7, and Audi's very own e-tron S EV. The RS6 is special though as one of the few sport wagons available in the USA, so if you're an enthusiast, you could always purchase the wreck and work on it as a passion project, maybe even get Audi to install the optional carbon-ceramic brakes, otherwise, it'll just prove to be a really deep money pit.
