The Toyota Camry and Highlander Nightshade special editions will be showcased later this month at the LA Auto Show.
As the nights start to get darker this fall, Toyota has unveiled new blacked-out special edition versions of the 2019 Camry sedan and 2019 Highlander mid-size SUV that will be showcased at the LA Auto Show later this month.
Based on the stylish SE grade 2019 Camry, the Nightshade Special Edition package adds black 18-inch wheels and a black spoiler. Additional exterior accents continue the dark theme with black window molding, black mirror caps, a black shark fin, and black door handles. Black exterior Toyota emblems complete the Nightshade’s look.
Three colors will be available for the 2019 Toyota Camry Nightshade Special Edition when it goes on sale next year including Midnight Black Metallic, Celestial Silver and Super White.
The Highlander Nightshade Special Edition makes the SE grade even sportier with black accents applied to the rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, exterior door handles, and mirror caps. It also rides on black 19-inch wheels with black lug nuts, while black headlights and fog lamps give the SUV a sinister look. Toyota emblems on the front and back also get the black treatment.
Limited to 5,000 units, the Highlander Nightshade Special Edition will be available in dealerships in January with a choice of Midnight Black Metallic, Predawn Gray Mica, Salsa Red Pearl, and Blizzard Pearl colors. Pricing for both models will be announced closer to launch.
This isn’t the first time Toyota has given current models the blacked-out Nightshade treatment. Last month, the automaker unveiled the 4Runner Nightshade Special Edition, which features similar black accents on the Limited trim. It’s available in Midnight Black Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Blizzard Pearl.
