Toyota Celebrates 25 Years Of Sienna With Limited Model

Special Editions / 11 Comments

Swagger for the whole family.

Toyota is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Sienna by introducing a new limited edition model. It follows hot on the heels of the recent Camry Nightshade Edition and the introduction of the Tundra's new SX Package.

The 25th Anniversary model is based on the XSE trim, which is the sportiest trim in the range. In addition to the standard kit, Toyota adds features usually found on the top-tier Limited trim as well as model-specific exterior and interior trim.

Only 2,525 units will be built, and all of them will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain. The Sienna is only available as a hybrid, which would have been frowned upon a mere decade ago. These days it's one of the Sienna's unique selling points, helping it capture 35 percent of the minivan segment.

The 25th Anniversary Edition adds 20-inch split five-spoke wheels, more aggressive front and rear bumpers, black-painted caps, and a sport-tuned suspension. The latter is a standard feature on the XSE grade.

This limited Sienna is only available in Celestial Silver, with Wind Chill Pearl as a second color choice. It also gets unique black badging and black trim on the mirror caps and shark fin antenna.

Toyota includes the XSE Plus Package as standard to add more luxury to the interior. This adds roof rails, navigation, wireless charging, a 1,500-watt converter, and a premium JBL sound system.

Toyota also adds several features unique to the top-spec Limited trim, including exterior mirrors with memory, auto-dimming, puddle lights, power-fold and reverse-tilt down function.

The 25th Anniversary boasts black leather seats with silver-colored stitching on the inside. The front seats are both heated and ventilated, while the second row gets a set of ottomans.

Finally, each anniversary model comes with unique floormats and an exclusive black key fob cover.

Prospective owners can choose between front or all-wheel drive. Both variants are driven by the same 245-horsepower hybrid system, though the AWD model employs a separate electric motor at the rear axle. The FWD model comes with an EPA-estimated 36 mpg, while the AWD consumers 35 on the combined cycle.

Toyota did not provide pricing details or an exact on-sale date.
