It's been a while since we last heard from Abflug. But with the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon just weeks away, the Japanese tuner has chosen to showcase its latest aftermarket program based on the Toyota GT86, known locally as the 86 and in North America as the Scion FR-S. The crux of the program, dubbed the Spiral 86, is a retuned engine developed with PentRoof that includes an HKS GT Supercharger, a sports exhaust system and water bypass kit. The result is a boost in output from 197 to 255 horsepower and peak torque from 151 to 281 lb-ft.

Performance upgrades include an upgraded suspension and braking system, while an aero kit transforms the look of the 2-seater sports car. Consisting of a new, more angular front bumper, muscular side skirts, a new rear bumper with corner air outlets and diffuser, and a boot lid spoiler, the body kit is complemented by a set of Abflug's own 19-inch Prism III alloys.
