Leaked images of its Japanese counterpart gives us the first look at the upcoming Lexus RX.
Historically, the Toyota Harrier and its US/European counterpart the Lexus RX have been quite similar. So these images of the next-gen Harrier attained by Japanese website CarWatch gives us a first look at what Lexus has in store for its new luxury SUV. The front fascia has been given an aggressive overhaul as per Lexus' latest design language, while at the back we see new slender wraparound taillights and a sportier tailgate with integrated spoiler.
There's a familiar greenhouse, and we suspect the Lexus RX will get the spindle grille treatment. As for what's going on under the hood, hybrid badging hints it's an updated version of the 3.5-liter V6 hybrid unit that features in the RX450h. The new Toyota Harrier and Lexus RX will debut at the end of the year, so expect to see more images and info about the crossovers in the coming weeks and months.
