Hybrids and electric vehicles have carved out a special place in most international auto shows by now, and it's no different at next month's Geneva Motor Show. Toyota has stated that it will introduce an iQ EV prototype to the public at the show, and it will be equipped with a new flat lithium ion battery with a range of 65 miles on a single charge. The iQ EV is will represent Toyota's long-term vision for short-range, sustainable mobility.
Toyota said that the vehicle successfully integrates an all-electric powertrain within the iQ package, something important in the urban-friendly, zero emissions game. The prototype is set to be put through testing in Europe this year, while Toyota has already announced its plans to bring the car to the U.S. market.
