In addition to the Detroit Auto Show opening in a couple of weeks, the Tokyo Auto Salon is also set to take place around the same time. Considered to be Japan's tuning event equivalent to the SEMA show in Las Vegas and Essen in Germany, the Tokyo salon always brings in Japan's top tuning houses to showcase their latest projects. Among them will be Wald International, which recently announced the debut of the modified Toyota Land Cruiser you see here.

Although there are no performance upgrades made to Toyota's top SUV, the tuner has added a number of exterior mods including a new front fascia, extended wheel arches that widen the SUV by 40 mm and a restyled rear bumper with an integrated diffuser. Customers can also tack on a set of LED fog lights, alloy wheels and an improved exhaust system. Other styling add-ons include a roof-mounted spoiler, a tailgate spoiler as well as carbon-fiber trim.
