Toyota has added the Persona Series Special Edition to its US lineup whil announcing pricing for the three members of the 2013 Prius Family, which also includes the Prius V and Prius Plug-in models. The "style-focused" Persona Series Special Edition is essentially a visual package, adding exterior changes and equipment, including 17-inch alloys and a unique Black Cherry Pearl body color with special badging to let the other hippes know your Prius is special.
The interior is upholstered in charcoal-colored SofTexTM material with black accents and red stitching. The steering wheel is trimmed in the same material and also gets a dark chrome bezel to complement the dark chrome shift knob ring and door grips. The Persona Series is powered by the same hybridized 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine as the standard model. Good for 134 horsepower, it propels the car from 0-60 mph in 9.8 seconds and tops out at 112 mph. (In other words, Prius slow.) The Persona edition is priced at $27,130, a $1,365 premium over the Prius Three on which it's based.
