The number of customization kits created in that time must run into the thousands.
A unique gathering of almost 100 Supras took place over the weekend in honor of the Japanese muscle car’s 20th anniversary. The birthday celebration was marked by the Toyota Supra Owners Club at the Heritage Motor Center in Gaydon, UK, where concours grade models rubbed fenders with modified machines. Mk IV was the final model Supra and arguably the most significant. As the fastest, most potent Supra ever built, the media at the time absolutely lapped it up.
It was launched in the UK in 1993 with supercar performance courtesy of a 326-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine. Since then, the 3JZE engine has been tuned to over 1,000 hp with countless customization kits available for one of the most popular sports car to emerge from the Land of the Rising Sun.
