Teasers put out by manufacturers ahead of car shows tend to cover a pretty broad spectrum as far as what they actually reveal. That this one from Toyota for the 2016 Tacoma, which will bow next month at the Detroit Auto Show, doesn't really tell us anything about the truck isn't so unusual. What makes the teaser (seen on the next page, the rest of the pics are the current model) funny is that Toyota actually bothered to put out a press release for it.

The complete text of the release read "Toyota's rolling out the all-new 2016 Tacoma at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Jan. 12." That's all well and good, but it probably wasn't really necessary to say anything at all. We're still looking forward to seeing the truck next month in Detroit, where Nissan will be rolling out one of its big competitors, the 2016 Titan. High stakes for these two, should be interesting.
