Toyota is the world's best-selling carmaker and remains the most searched automotive brand in the world. Synonymous with quality and reliability, it enjoys an envy-inducing reputation across the globe. Despite this, the Japanese company spends millions of dollars on marketing and advertising, in the hopes of attracting even more customers.

Its most recent commercial is a real tearjerker, telling the story of two brothers and their tenacious journey to becoming professional athletes, despite the overwhelming challenges they faced. The Tokyo-based brand's latest advert is far more humorous, advertising its all-new Toyota Tundra pickup truck with a star-studded cast.

Called The Joneses, the Big Game advert opens with two Tundras in a barren, rural landscape. Legendary actor Tommy Lee Jones and comedian Leslie Jones are behind the wheel, setting off in a blur of dust and mud as they race each other at high speed. Naturally, the thrilling off-road adventure is set to Tom Jones's It's Not Unusual.

But the race gets even tougher, as actress Rashida Jones joins in on the off-roading fun, the highly capable Tundras plowing through snowbanks and sliding across the loose surfaces as they race toward the mountain summit. The trucks pull up next to each other, allowing the drivers to size their competition up before the race continues.

However, a fourth, previously unseen Tundra arrives with none other than Nick Jonas. The trio of Joneses looks at him with suspicion, before Tommy Lee Jones cleverly says, "try to keep up...whoever you are." Brian Buckley, a two-time Academy Award nominee, directed the sixty-second ad. "Each shoot brings its own excitement, but the star power of the actors and the all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra took it to an epic level."

The Joneses wasn't Toyota's only Big Game advert, though. Those who tuned into Telemundo were treated to an uplifting sixty-second advert, titled Born to Lend a Hand. Here, the Tundra is seen in a number of challenging situations, using its capabilities to help out when called upon.

Now available in Capstone trim, Toyota is hoping to gain a slice of the luxury truck segment. The plush Tundra boasts myriad luxuries, including ambient lighting, a panoramic moonroof, and semi-aniline leather trim. The addition of a hybrid powertrain also brings efficiency, the 437-horsepower i-Force Max hybrid capable of returning an EPA-rated 19/22/21 mpg on the city/highway/combined cycles.

In recent weeks, two of the first-ever Tundra Hybrids sold for a combined $1.25 million at the Barrett-Jackson auction in January, with all the proceeds going toward Toyota's US Paralympic fund.
