Toyota Unveils The Ultimate Wrapping Paper

Holidays / 11 Comments

Now you can make all your gifts look like a Toyota Supra.

After more than 20 years, the Toyota Supra is just a month away from making its return at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show. Even though Toyota hasn't officially revealed the car or its performance figures, we already have a good idea of what the Supra will look like. We aren't just referring to the leaked picture which emerged on the internet, we are also referring to the camouflaged pre-production car which has been shown more times than a Blu-ray copy of 'The Avengers.'

While some are sick of seeing shots of the Supra wearing its red, black, and white camouflage, others really dig the wrap and executives from Toyota tell us they have even been asked if this will be a production color.

While we doubt Toyota will actually sell the Supra like this, the Japanese automaker has decided to embrace people's love of this unique wrap by selling it as wrapping paper. That's right, you'll now be able to wrap your holiday gifts in the same pattern as the pre-production Supra.

Toyota says the paper will be a limited production run of just 500 rolls, so get yours while it is still available. Each roll will bear the same pattern seen on the prototype from the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed appearance along with a subtle A90 reference, which refers to the new car's chassis code.

The paper costs £5.00 (around $6.29) for four sheets, each of which measures 695x1000mm. All of the proceeds will go to Crisis UK, a national charity which supports homeless people. If you are planning to buy a new Supra, this gift wrap may be the perfect item to stash in the trunk and display at car shows. It may also help make your car stand out when it crosses the auction block in 30 years.

Pre-orders for the new Supra are being taken now through Toyota's national consumer website, or through local Toyota retailer's web pages using the My Toyota app. If you are feeling particularly generous, perhaps you can order a new Supra for your loved one and wrap up the confirmation letter in this awesome Supra-themed paper.
