Tragic GT-R Nismo Crash Kills Nurburgring Spectator

Driver loses control and flips over, killing one and injuring four spectators.

The first race of the VLN endurance series which took place this weekend at the Nurburgring race track in Germany ended in a terrible tragedy. Driven by Jann Mardenborough, the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 lost control and flipped over, clearing the barriers and security fence. The race was immediately halted and emergency crews quickly reached the site, where they found one spectator dead and four injured. The British driver was also said to be undergoing medical examinations following the accident.
