Why place a bid if you can't pay up?
Last year, someone placed a winning bid of $337,144 so they could own the last car rapper Tupac Shakur ever owned, a 1996 H1 Hummer hardtop. And now the same auction house, RR Auctions, has put the truck up for sale again because it was unable to collect payment from the original buyer. And like the first time around, RR Auction expects the Hummer to fetch around $100,000. This particular H1 Hummer was ordered by Tupac himself and, of course, he added several upgraded features such as leather seats and burl wood trim.
Other cool add-ons include a grille with off-road lights as well as roof-mounted off-road lights. Heck, there's even a 360-degree spotlight and an external PA system with three sirens. The wheels have also been upgraded and yes, there are diamond-plated bumpers and a 12,000-pound winch. And because it was awesome to have in the 1990s, there's a 12-disc CD player. The license plate reads "YANKNPAK." It honors both Shakur and fellow late rapper Yaki "Prince" Kadafi. Its new owners will enjoy a couple of promotional cassette tapes included in the sale, Michael Jackson's Thriller and Shakur's own All Eyez on Me.
Power comes courtesy of a turbocharged 6.5-liter diesel V8 with 195 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Total number of miles: 10,101; Tupac didn't have much time to drive it before being gunned down in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 13, 1996. The auction begins on August 10 and will wrap up on August 17. It'd be nice this time around for a buyer to actually have the cash available.
