When auto journalists get bored.
We've long been fans of the Subaru BRZ and its sister ship, the newly renamed and re-branded Toyota 86. For around $30,000, the BRZ is hands-down one of the best affordable driver's sports cars on sale today. Come to think of it, there aren't that many of its type left any longer. Rear-wheel-drive, standard six-speed manual, and two doors – that's the type of car automakers are having a hard time selling, but that's not stopping the guys at Autocar from having some fun in a BRZ. Sure, it's not all that hard to drift one.
In fact, it may be the best car to learn that technique in. But what happens when a couple of apparently bored auto scribes figure they can come up with a way for both of them to drift the car at once. Yes.
Two guys. One BRZ. We didn't even think something like this would be possible, and yet…it is. Check out the video here and see how it's done. And if you're up for attempting this with a friend, be sure to go to an empty parking lot. Mistakes could happen.
