This is the lunacy that we expect from TVR.
The UK sportscar manufacturer TVR made its triumphant return in 2017 with the all-new Griffith. This new sports car will sound absolutely savage thanks to a 5.0-liter V8 engine that it borrows from the Ford Mustang. This engine has been fettled by Cosworth so that it now produces 480 hp and its own unique sound. We were extremely excited to see TVR return to the market, but there was just one thing that we thought was missing with the Griffith. When TVR first showed off the car, it came in a rather normal looking shade of red.
We aren't saying that the Griffith looks bad in red, but we were expecting a color that was a bit more unique from TVR. This is a company that is well known for creating some of the most insane car colors that we have ever seen. Luckily, TVR hasn't forgotten its roots and will be bringing a very unique Griffith to the 2018 Autosport International show in the UK. This very special model is wearing a shade of purple Chameleon paint. As with previous TVR colors such as Chromaflair and Reflex Spice, this shade of Chameleon will change colors depending on the level of light. In this case, the purple changes to a shade of teal blue.
This is the type of lunacy that we expect of TVR and we wish that the company had decided to debut the Griffith in this awesome color. The first units of the Griffith will be delivered later this year and we hope that a lot of customers go for crazy colors like Chameleon. If you live near Birmingham, go check out this insane TVR Griffith, which will be on display at the National Exhibition Center.
