Twin Turbo Gallardo Battles AMS GT-R

Drag Race

Record-breaking Undergroung Racing Gallardo battles AMS Godzilla on the freeways of Russia.

Two of the most powerful street-legal cars on the planet recently went head-to-head on the highways of Russia. Filled with racing fuel and set to maximum boost, heavily-modified versions of the Nissan GT-R and the Lamborghini Gallardo squared-off in an epic (and incredibly unsafe) showdown for the ages. The Nissan GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ kicks out a wild 1,500 horsepower when filled with racing fuel. Running on Toyo Proxes R88 tires, it took on the Underground Racing Twin Turbo Gallardo.

The upgraded Lambo cranks out 1,500 horsepower at the wheels and is utilizing the same Hoosier A6 wheels on which it set the Moscow Unlimited Drag Times record of 251 mph. Flanked by a pair of 1,000 horsepower-plus Porsches and a Hennessey-tuned Corvette ZR1, the modified supercars took to the highway and let it all out on the crowded roadways.

The GT-R AMS Alpha 12+ reached a ridiculous 224 mph, and while slowing down, still passed at over 200 mph. After a few minutes of downtime, the Russian racers were back on the road and hitting the same insane speeds. You know you're going ridiculously fast when someone remarks "200-300 km/h in 6.8 sec? Why so slow?" Check out the incredible action below on this week's edition of Drag Race Tuesdays.
