When you think of a taxi, the first thing that comes to mind is a Ford Crown Victoria or a Toyota Prius, at least in the United States. In Germany, things are a little bit different. On the famous Nurburgring race track, visitors can pay to be driven around in a Ring Taxi, typically a fast BMW M car with an amazing driver behind the wheel. Jaguar has also taken a stab at Ring Taxi duty, and will now introduce two new supercharged models as the latest Green Hell taxis. Visitors of the Nurburgring can now catch a ride in one of these awesome Jags.

Up to three passengers will be able to book a ride in Jaguar's most powerful sedan ever, the XJR575. Powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, the XJR575 produces 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Single riders who want to go faster can opt for the F-Type SVR, which is powered by the same supercharged V8. Passengers laps can be booked until November for €199 (around $236). Each ride lasts for 30 minutes and includes a safety briefing, one lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife, and a post-lap video footage review. Passengers simply need to be 18 years or older to experience cornering forces of up to 1.2g on the famous 20.83 km, 73-turn race track.

If you are planning to take a trip to Germany and don't feel brave enough to tackle the Nurburgring by yourself, a Ring Taxi is a great way to experience this world famous race track. Having a supercharged V8 soundtrack along the way is just an added bonus.
