Ultimate Mario Kart Mashup

Video Game

Nintendo looks back at 22 years, and 8 installments, of the popular racing game.

It began with Super Mario Kart on the Super NES – a game that robbed many of us of our youth – and continued with Mario Kart 64, another obscenely addictive video game. Six installments later and Nintendo has no intention of letting the current generation of gamers escape its clutches with the release of Mario Kart 8 (yes, there have been eight of these life-sapping games) that looks set to include some timeless classics such as the mind-bending Rainbow Road and barnyard bonkers Moo Moo Farm, as well as awesome new features like anti-gravity.

To remind us just how far the wonderful series has come, Nintendo has revised its 22-year history in a brief video. Watch it, and try and resist putting an order in for their eighth episode that’ll drift into stores at the end of the month. That is, if you still own anything from Nintendo.
