Prior to retiring the Diablo, in 2001 Lamborghini produced a 42-car limited production run of a special edition Diablo VT 6.0 SE, featuring the carmaker's 549-hp 6.0-liter V12 that was introduced on the Diablo GT. It came exclusively in gold metallic "Oro Elios," representing the sunrise, and a "Marrone Eklipsis" representing sunset. Unique touches included Lamborghini-badged brake calipers and lots of carbon-fiber trim.

This mint condition example is one of 20 that received the sunrise treatment, and is currently for sale with Cats Exotics, out of Lynnwood, Washington. The asking price is $294,888. The supercar comes with a custom Larini exhaust, gold brake calipers, tinted windows, carbon-fiber door handles, and Euro-spec taillights. It also boasts a body-colored rear wing, an upgraded Alpine sound system, a rebuilt transmission and comes with just over 10,000 miles on the clock.
