Believe it or not, there was a time when Volvo's had some decent styling. Before they became the proverbial brick on wheels, models such as the 122 were both classic and stylish. The owner of this 1965 Volvo "Canadian" 122 (known as the "Amazon" overseas) has maintained a mostly original car. Updates include new wheels and tires, an anti-sway bar kit and custom HID retrofit headlights with BMW Bi-Xenon projectors. The original "Desert Sand" paint remains with very few (if any) marks.

The interior is completely stock, but with an added dash-mounted tachometer. It's powered by a rebuilt B20 engine mated to a four-speed transmission. There's also a new custom Magnaflow exhaust. The owner is also planning some touch-up to the interior paint and a transmission swap. Overall a beautiful car from an automaker that's not always synonymous with style.
