We recently discovered this 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, which has been dubbed Wildfire by its owner. The 460cui engine has been bored and stroked to 532, and now has Probe forged pistons. Fuel comes from a 950cfm Holley carburetor, and there is an Edelbrock intake. The wheels are Shelby and the tires are Nitto Drag radials. The interior has been redone, and (of course) so has the stereo. Lastly, as I'm sure you've noticed, there is a 6-inch cowl hood.

Beside the engine upgrade, the question on our minds here is whether this Mustang Fastback has been taken too far in this tuning job? Specifically, we're referring to that massive hood. It may look good to some, but we're of the opinion that it takes away from the car's original lines. The added stereo system isn't the issue, nor are the chrome wheels. It's the hood that's made this classic lose some of its appeal. You be the judge.
