Up for Auction: Andy Warhol’s 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow

Classic Cars

Bonhams is selling off Andy Warhol's classic Silver Shadow from 1974.

Bonhams auction house is getting ready to make its inaugural showing in Scottsdale, Arizona. To headline the event, they are auctioning off a 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow once owned by the famous and world-renowned artist Andy Warhol. The Rolls-Royce was purchased by the $100 million-a-painting artist in 1974. The Silver Shadow was bought new off the lot and was owned by Warhol until his murder 13 years later.

The car was sold by his family a year after his passing and had two owners since then. The 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow comes with a copy of the original New York Certificate of Title with Andy Warhol's name on it. Bonhams' Scottsdale auction will be held on January 19th at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa.
