Speed. It's all about speed. If that could be said of any creation in the world, surely it applies to Usain Bolt and the Nissan GT-R. The Jamaican sprinter stands as the undisputed fastest man in the world, holding world records and hording gold medals at the Olympics like they were free candy. The supercar known as Godzilla, meanwhile, is one of the fastest cars on the market, regularly obliterating lap records and embarrassing exotics costing three times its list price.

Obsessed as he is with speed, Bolt is an avowed fan of the GT-R, and recently signed on as Nissan's honorary "Director of Excitement". Now the two have paired up for a one-of-a-kind GT-R, painted gold with real gold trim inside, to be sold on eBay to raise funds for the Usain Bolt Foundation that benefits children in the Olympian's native Jamaica.

That isn't the end of the partnership, however. Bolt landed at Tokyo's Narita Airport today where he was picked up by F1 driver Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing, highlighted in a video clip timed to match Bolt's world-record sprint time, joined by a second video teasing a further special edition GT-R the two are apparently working on.

Just what the Bolt edition GT-R will encompass remains to be seen, but we'll be watching to find out. While in town, Nissan will also custom-tune a GT-R to match Bolt's specifications. Speed apparently breeds speed.
