V8 Power Wagon Showdown - European Style

Too bad this can't be an American power wagon face-off.

Yep, it’s time for yet another reminder of just how awesome power wagons are and how much we crave them. You’re already well familiar by now with the Audi RS6 Avant, a twin-turbo V8 wagon complete with the automaker’s famed Quattro all-wheel-drive system that helps make it the ideal family car for gearheads. It’s also insanely expensive (over $130,000) and only sold in Europe. But it’s got 552 horsepower. That’s just nuts.

Then there’s the Vauxhall VXR8 Supercharged, which has over 600 hp. Unlike the Audi, the VXR8 has rear-wheel-drive as well as a six-speed manual. Seriously, why bother spending so much cash on some luxury crossover when you can get one of these? This applies, obviously, to those in Europe. Americans sadly don’t have this option.
