The Tokyo Auto Salon attracts some of the best modified JDM cars worldwide, and this year, Varis aims to make a massive splash with a gang of vehicles, each highly tuned and ready to drop jaws. We've previously covered some of the tuner's creations, including a highly modified Honda Civic Type R and, more recently, a Toyota GR Supra sporting the company's widebody kit, but what the firm has lined up for the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon is going to make an even bigger impression. Its lineup this year includes exceptional Japanese sports cars such as the Toyota GR86 and GR Yaris, the Nissan Z, and even the Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru WRX.

The first Varis-tuned car heading to the show on Friday, January 13, is a Toyota GR86 fitted with a wide body kit made entirely of carbon fiber. This kit also features a custom hood and a massive rear wing. The car rolls on a set of 18x11-inch Advan Racing R6 wheels and sports a supercharger for the 2.4-liter engine. The next car to feature is a new Nissan Z with a tasteful body kit that includes flared wheel arches, a large front splitter, and side skirts. The classic ducktail spoiler adds a bit of retro style, and there's a more aggressive hood in play. This Z also gets an Armytrix exhaust system, KW Version 3 coilovers, and Volk Racing 20×11-inch GT 090 wheels. The interior is upgraded with a set of sporty Recaro seats.

One of the most eye-catching cars of the Varis exhibition has to be its widebody Toyota GR Yaris. This particular car won the award for best tuner car at last year's event and has been updated with a new front splitter, rear diffuser, rear wing, and a set of Volk Racing wheels. This is a car to keep an eye on.

Finally, Varis plans to bring two JDM rally rivals: a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR Wagon and a 2023 Subaru WRX. The Mitsubishi features an extensive list of engine upgrades, a full body kit, coilovers, and Volk Racing Wheels. The Subaru also gets its fair share of motor mods, bigger brakes, a set of high-end Ohlins suspension parts, and Volk Racing wheels. More details on these exciting builds will be revealed at the show. As if we weren't already stoked for Tokyo Auto Salon…
