Famous Japanese car tuner VeilSide is currently prepping a 2023 Nissan Z for a starring role in an upcoming Fast & Furious movie.

Nissan and VeilSide have a long-standing relationship with the Fast & Furious franchise. Brian O'Conner had a thing for the R34 Nissan Skyline, while a VeilSide-tuned 350Z made its debut in Tokyo Drift. That particular Z was sold in 2017, but the producers decided to keep another VeilSide product that made an appearance in that film. It's the iconic VeilSide RX-7 driven by Han, portrayed by American actor Sung Kang.

We already know the famous black-on-orange RX-7 will make a comeback in Fast X, so why is VeilSide prepping another car? Fast X production is over and done with. While it will only release in theaters in May next year, Tyrese Gibson already revealed that the movie is done and that he's seen it.

Unless you keep up with movie news, you might not know that Fast X and the unnamed Fast 11 movie were scheduled to be filmed back-to-back. Fast 11 will finally conclude the saga, which means we'll be free of Vin Diesel mumbling about the importance of "fambly" while forgetting that he had a long-lost brother. But we digress.

With Fast X wrapped up, the VeilSide Nissan Z will obviously star in Fast 11. Autocar Japan confirmed this in a roundabout sort of way. It recently visited VeilSide's premises in Japan and spoke to the famous Hirohisa Yokomaku, who has worked on several movie cars in the franchise, including Han's RX-7 mentioned earlier.

While Yokomaku didn't mention Fast & the Furious specifically, his words are hardly that difficult to translate. "It's a movie car of the future that [Sung Kang] rides in. I can't reveal the title of the movie yet," said Yokomaku. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what movie he's talking about.

The new Z joins a growing range of cars that will feature in the two final movies. Fast X will be the first F&F film to feature EVs, but you can bet that fan favorites like the R34, Supra, Charger, and Integra will return.

Fast X caused some controversy earlier this year in California during its production; F&F is returning to its roots and a lot of filming occurred in Angelino Heights, where locals quickly got fed up with fanboys doing donuts in the streets and even staged a protest. Hopefully, that will be the worst thing to come from this film, but we wouldn't bet on it.
